The truly lovely styled nature rock house belongs Angelika, who is a carpenter with architectural diploma and who emigrated to Greece. We can offer this special rental in our Greece program. On one side the house offers well maintained ambience, lovely equipment, tasteful furniture, comfort, reliability of the owner and on the other side it will give you tranquility, an idyllic location, fantastic ocean view, loving caretakers, natural surroundings and excellent service – and this for good price/ benefit relations.




Angelika lives since years in Mani and can therefore assist the guests with many valuable tips and information for excursions, hikes, best taverns and adventures.

Gabi, a friend of Angelika, leads hiking tours in the surrounding neighborhood. She will also teach you about the local flora and fauna and show you various herbs – Oregano, sage, thyme and more, which you have to buy as gifts to bring home.




The landscape, which is basically a non-tourist area, lays on the feet of the Taygetos mountains. The scenery is impressed by origin and wild nature and the area follows slowly its opening that took place 30 years ago. There are plenty of active leisure possibilities (especially in both of the summer months – but if you prefer it original and lonely like myself and if you are looking for a little nostalgic – you should choose the pre or after season) : fishing, jet-ski, water-ski, riding, biking. Mani is a paradise for street riders and especially for mountain bikers.




You will have guarantee a vacation close to the ocean and in natural surroundings with a beautiful ambience with plenty of excursion opportunities – ideally for couples, small families or for dog owners.

The beach of Skoutari and most beaches in the neighborhood are smooth descending and therefore perfect for children. Since you will find less tourism in Mani (except Stoupa, but this is far away, but in the periphery of Stoupa and recommendable) you won’t find any industry. What you will find is crystal clear water, turquoise colored ocean and the water quality is outstanding (and not chemically polluted).




The nature rock house sized about 35 qm and offers three sleeping possibilities (one double bed, one single bed with back-friendly mattresses on a higher level - therefore separated from the living/ kitchen area with fitted kitchen, 2-plate stove, refrigerator with freezer unit, stereo) within one bedroom with integrated kitchen and separate bathroom (bathtub/ shower) in grotto style.




Adjoining the kitchen is a large, shady patio with garden furniture, lounge chairs and a large community table with chairs. A large ceiling fan guarantees a good climate in the tastefully equipped bedroom.




The house was originally built in 1993, but Angelika fully remodeled it individually in 2005 with country typical materials. The ambience is beautiful. Friendly nature stone floors, stone steps and massive wooden furniture were built for the house and the result is a pretty, cozy and outstanding house, which is suitable for couples or small families. The house is a refugee for creativity, relaxation and the harmonic balance between nature and the ocean – a micro cosmos where you just feel comfortable.




Skoutari itself lays approx. 15 km from Gythio, which is a picturesque small harbor town with the island of Paris / Helena (Kranei). This is a origin war harbor of Sparta and was the ideal starting point for the Trojan war and for Hannibal´s wars. Skoutari offers, besides Areopolis, the best shopping opportunities and offers besides its Caribbean beaches with panorama to the Lakonic Gulf and (by good weather) a view to Kythira, a picturesque architecture, the church Agia Varvara and the former abbey Agios Georgis.




A variety of sights that I personally recommend:

rocky town of Monemvassia (plainly beautiful)

the famous Vathia with its towers

the byzanic Mistras

the caves of Pirgos Dirou (Europe’s largest sea water cave)

the most southern main land point Europe’s: cap Tenaron with oracle


Arrival: via Athens or (quicker) via Kalamata (approx. 80 minutes).
