Four beautiful, well maintained single vacation homes; each approximatley 45 qm with ocean view and view onto Kefalonia and Zakynthos; positioned on the glorious 5000 qm garden estate; 200 meter air line or 5 min walk to the ocean with sandy beach; 1 bedroom; double sleeping sofa in the living area; suitable for 2 - 4, better 2-3 people. 18 qm shady, covered and furnished patio; 4 shady private parking spaces/carports; enclosed estate; possibility of children bed and barbeque; exterior showers; mosquito nets; swing; tape player/ radio; great infrastructure; 50 minutes to Olympia; antique sites; glorious kilometer long sandy beaches; thermal and sulfur springs; dogs upon request.
The small private estate Polaris consists out of 4 similar, completely separate vacation homes. All are named after stars (Asteria). All have an approximately size of 45 qm and are suitable for 2 - 4 people. The house has an additional 18 qm large covered, furnished (table, chairs, lounge chairs) patio with a perfect ocean view - just incredible for a dream sun set. The patios are all tiled tastefully with stone tiles.
Both, the estate and the house, are extremly well maintained. The home is located on a large (5000 qm) garden estate, lavishly planted with pine trees, palm trees, bougainvillea, mispel, geranium, roses, fig trees, olive trees and more. You will find small and large grassy areas that are quiet suitable for sun baths. On the grassy areas you will enjoy enough privacy and the entire garden offers enough space for the carefree play of your children. A swing is present as well. The garden is safe for children. Exterior showers offer a nice cool break in between sun baths. You do not have to fear water shortages, since the estate has it is own deep well with an outstanding quality of water (high in magnesium).
The entire estate is enclosed and you will not find any through traffic. A small private road leads you directely to the Villa Polaris. Five shady parking spaces are present there as well.
The homes consits out of a living room/ dining room combination with table, chairs, dresser, 1 armchair, tape player, radio as well as a sleeping sofa, which can be made into 2 single beds. Adjoined, you will find a fitted kitchen with 3-plate stove with oven, sink, coffee maker, water cooker, refrigiator with freezer unit, small tables, cabinets and all the neccessary kitchen utensils.
The bedroom includes 2 single beds that can be combined into a double bed, bed site table with lamps and a large mirrow closet. The bathroom includes a shower with shower curtain, toilet, sink and mirror.
All windows and the patio door have tight installed mosquito nets. A small wardrobe is located in the small hallway.
The owner family - he is Greek and she is German - are very accomoding and friendly. Dogs are welcome upon request.
A barbeque is present upon request.
After just 500 meter you will find a glorious, kilometer wide sandy beach and you hardly will find a better place for a beautiful beach vacation. These beaches belong to South-Greeces most beautiful beaches. You can find water sports opportunities in almost every town in the surrounding neighborhood.
The most famous sight of the half-island of Elis is the Franken castle Chemutsi, which can be seen from afar. The castle is approximately 3 kilometers south of KYLLINI and 2 km from the ocean. From the mighty ruin of the knights castle, which is illuminated at night, you will have a glorious panoramic view to the mountains to the east and the Ionic islands to the west. Below the mountain, where you will find yet another castle, are the houses of the village Kastro pictureques placed into the hills.
By now the town is used to some tourism and offers its guests some bars, cafès, grocery store, gas station, bakkery and a bus stop. All shopping opportunities, the pharmacy and the post office are located after 4 - 5 km in the harbor town of KYLLINI, from where you also take trips to the neighboring islands of KEFALONIA and ZAKYNTHOS (frequent car ferries and stunningly beautiful with a blue grotto and very impressive CARETTA station with water turtles. A health center with a doctor is located just 12 km away in GASTOUNI. It is also just 12 km to the main road PATRAS-PIRGOS and just 40 minutes by car to the airport ARAXOS. Thermal baths (healing and mud bath of LOUTRA KYLLINI // LINTZI) can be found just 6 km from the town. An ATM is located in Kyllini at the harbor.
Besides Kastro offers the antique Olypia equally a cultural highlight as well as the antique Ellis with it new (hard to find) museum.
